We congratulate Juan I. Vizzo, former fellow of the Estación de Fotobiología Playa Unión, who defended his Doctoral Thesis at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba.
On November 27, 2025, Juan defended his doctoral thesis at the University of Córdoba (Argentina). The thesis, entitled “Influence of terrigenous input and vertical mixing on phytoplankton in Patagonian coastal areas under different global change scenarios,” was supervised by Drs. Virginia E. Villafañe and E. Walter Helbling (EFPU). This thesis was carried out within the framework of a doctoral fellowship awarded to Juan Vizzo by Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET).
